The Glendora Chamber of Commerce Legislative Action Committee is hosting a School Board Candidate Forum on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 6:00 p.m at the Bidwell Forum.
Of the three seats up for reelection, Gary Clifford and Paul Lopez are running unopposed. As a result, Trustee Area 2 is the only seat that will appear on the ballot.
This forum is a great opportunity to ask questions, learn more about the candidates, and hear why I am running for reelection.

Why does my perspective matter on a school board? Because I see the impact of decisions beyond the boardroom—and I know the unique experience of navigating public schools as a family.
A public school is more than a classroom. It’s a community made up of students and families from different backgrounds, with different needs, experiences, and challenges. A mom who has lived that experience understands the opportunities and realities that come with being part of a public school system.
I experience school policies through homework, transportation, communication, activities, academic pressure, and the everyday realities my children bring home.
I bring the family perspective to important decisions about budgets, programs, schedules, safety, staffing, and facilities—and can keep asking, How will this affect our students and families?

I started my day by dropping off my son for his junior year at GHS, then stopped by to say hello to all the parents at the @glendoraedfoundation Bells & Bubbles event. I wrapped up the morning handing out donut holes at @glendorahs “Get on Board” event! 🍩

Traditions matter. They are an important and valued part of our community. But I also believe it’s important that we continually evaluate our traditions and ask whether they still reflect who we are and where we want to go—not only as a school district, but as a city.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to bring my unique perspective to the Glendora School Board. I’m a proud advocate for public education because I am a product of public schools, and so are my children. Public education is one of the greatest investments we can make in our community—it creates opportunity, brings students from all backgrounds together, and helps prepare the next generation to contribute and thrive.
